Revision Plan, Project 3

  1. My peers believe that I should add to the existing idea of being a literacy outsider, which is in the work and defined in the works of Alexander and Williams. I’m not looking to challenge or affirm the ideas at all, as I believe that their definitions and ideas of an outsider are correct, and I can’t challenge that as a result, thus I’m looking to answer the questions and add to the idea of an outsider by answering why the individual is an outsider, in what setting, and how does literacy either aid them or did literacy put them there in the first place.
  2. Per my peers, I do a fine job introducing the works of A/B/W as well as introducing what their ideas are and laying the groundwork for what the essay will be covering. I do go too in depth with my literacy narrative introductions, as I find I am focusing too much on details rather than analysis of those narratives, which I need to work on.
  3. As mentioned earlier, I need to do a lot of work on the actual narratives I will be examining. As of right now I focus far too much on the details rather than analyzing and connecting it to the ideas of A/B/W, so that is something that I need to work on. Per my peers however, I do focus a good amount of the scholarly works. Not drowning the reader on what they are and why they are important, but having the perfect amount of information for the reader to understand and lay the groundwork without going off topic or straying into new ideas.
